Athens Composer/Performer Conference

I will be attending the second Athens Composer/Performer Conference this October, where All the things inside me are doing what they need to be doing will be performed by pianist Christine Tokatlian.

CeReNeM Journal Issue 2

The second issue of the CeReNeM Journal is available here, and includes a discussion between Robert Dahm and me, “Composer interaction in pedagogical contexts”. The issue is entitled “Specialist training in new music – summer courses, festivals and symposia”. Other contributing authors include Jennie Gottschalk, Richard Haynes, Timothy McCormack and Naomi Pinnock.

HCMF 2010

On Monday 22nd November, pianist Kate Ledger will premiere a new work of mine, along with pieces by Ray Evanoff and Timothy McCormack, at the Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival. The event is part of the hcmf// shorts series and is free to attend.

CeReNeM Journal Issue 1

The first issue of the CeReNeM journal is now online, and features an interview I gave to Ray Evanoff in which we discuss issues of tactility, perception and notation in and darkness sweeps in like a hand and other recent pieces. A huge ‘thank you’ is owed to both Ray and Robert Dahm for all their hard work on this.
